2 Corinthians 5:9 NLT
[9] So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him.
- P94

3"I’m going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We’ll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. - P78

6He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish - P78

7Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, "It is the Lord," he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. - P78

11So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.

12Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord when we least expect it - P79

14This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead. - P79

This scene reveals how easy it is for us to revert to old ways when we feel lost or uncertain. Yet, even in the return to the familiar, Jesus meets us, offering direction and blessing. - P80

Jesus is present in our lives even when we do not recognize Him, guiding us and providing just what we need. - P80

Instead of merely serving them, Jesus asks the disciples to bring some of the fish they have caught. Even though Jesus has already provided, He still invites the disciples to participate, to share what they have, and to join in the meal He has prepared. - P80

This scene reflects how Jesus invites us into fellowship with Him—not only to receive from Him but also to share in what He is doing. - P80

Jesus desires for us to trust Him as our true source, to come close to Him, and to break bread together in His presence. - P80

We are not able to experience JesusChrist here with us in the flesh, but we are able to experience Him with usthrough the presence of the Holy Spirit in our hearts.  - P81

As the Spirit speaksto us and guides us in our lives, we experience and get to know God forJesus Christ is God incarnate, God in the flesh.  - P81

We begin to understand thedepth of the words we read in the Bible because the Holy Spirit who dwellswithin all believers testifies and identifies them as true. - P81

They had become familiar with the miracles of Jesus‘ ministry, and sothey were able to discern who was at work when they y saw such miraclesagain. This points to why it is important to study God‘s Word and fellow-ship with other believers: we will be able to better identify and understandGod and recognize His presence in our lives.  - P81

As we know and understandmore of Him, we begin to see His glory with greater clarity, and our joy ismade complete. - P81

Lord Jesus, thank you for being with me even when I do not recognize it. Help me to trust that You know my struggles and can offer the guidance I need. - P81

Romans 6:16 NLT
[16] Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. - P92

Luke 4:18 NLT
[18] "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,
- P92

Mark 10:34 NLT
[34] They will mock him, spit on him, flog him with a whip, and kill him, but after three days he will rise again."

- P93

25So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." - P74

27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" - P74

29Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." - P75

31But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. - P75

Jesus appears to the disciples when Thomas is present. He invites Thomas totouch His wounds, and Thomas believes. Jesus says those who have not seenyet believe are blessed. - P75

The one who comes to Jesus wanting to understand the truth will find that He will reveal Himself. - P76

The words and stories recorded in Scripture inspire us to believe that Jesus truly is the long-awaited Messiah and the Son of God, and with this faith, we acquire eternal life in His name. - P76

The gospel accounts enable us to know who Jesus is and what He has done. They not only prompt faith but breathe life into our souls. We have hope that all of God’s promises are true as Scripture points us toward the path of life. - P76

Yet, there is a foundational miracle that all of Christianity rests upon. If thisone miracle were not true, then our faith would be worthless. This miracleis the resurrection. "If Christ has not been raised," Paul writes, "your faithis futile; you are still in your sins" (1 Cor. 15:17). - P77

The cross has always been a stumbling block for some and foolishness for others,
but it is the power of God for all who believe. - P77

Dear God, thank you for Your Word that is written so that I may believe and have eternal life. - P77

John 3:16 NLT
[16] "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. - P91
