"주님은 어느 곳에서도 모든 것을 버리기 위해 포기하라고 말씀하지 않으십니다. 가장 가치 있는 단한 가지, 곧 주님과 함께하는 삶을 위해 모든 것을 포기하라는 것입니다." 나의가장 소중한 것을 포기해 하나님께 드릴 때, 하나님은 결코 그것을 무용하게 하시거나 버리지 않으시고 도리어 후하게 넘치도록 돌려주시는 분입니다. - P20

3Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."

4"How can someone be born when they are old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!"

5Jesus answered, "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. - P52

Nicodemus fails to understand andJesus explains the need for spiritual rebirth through the Spirit. - P53

Sometimes even when God gives us the answers we need to hear, we struggle to accept them because they don’t align with our ideas. However, God alone is the source of truth and we must be willing to let go of our ideas if they do not align with what He teaches. - P54

Jesus explains that being born again of water and the Spirit is necessary to enter the kingdom of God—referring to the cleansing of sins and renewal by the Holy Spirit.  - P54

Whenever doubts arise in my heart or I am stubborn in accepting the truth You reveal, help me to let go of my own ideas and humbly seek Your ways. In Jesus’ name, amen. - P55

19Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days." - P49

Let us examine our hearts and see if we have in any way fallen into false zeal. - P50

He became the new temple, allowing all who are in Him to experience the presence of God and to worship without hindrance. Through the body of Christ, a completely new and perfect way of worship was made possible.  - P50

These experiences taught me that, in order to keep a house clear of bugs,
we must first eliminate what attracts them. Simply cleaning the surface isn‘tenough. In the same way, we need to first examine our hearts and removeanything that distracts us from God, making space for Jesus to dwell in usbefore we can offer ourselves as a holy and pleasing sacrifice to God. Firstthings first: when our hearts have been cleansed of idolatry then we canbuild our worship in a way that truly honors God. - P51

7Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.

8Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so,

- P45

We can always trust that God’s ways are higher, wiser, and better. We have the cross as evidence of this. - P46

The abundance of the new wine points to the abundance of grace which Christ now brings.  - P46

41The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). - P35

John recognizes Jesus as "the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world" (v. 29). - P36

Two lives with two purposes are revealed in this passage. Jesus has come for the purpose of being slain for the sin of the world, and John has come to help others recognize Him who would be slain. - P36

Recognizing the Lamb and fol-lowing Him equates to a decisive life change. Jesus would later teach thatwe cannot serve two masters (Matt. 6:24). If Jesus is Lord, then He is Lordof all of our lives, not just some parts. - P36
