God sees us and hears us wherever we are, but there are moments when we en-counter more of God‘s glory. The church in Corinth experienced the Holy Spir-it powerfully in worship, and many received the ability to pray in tongues or ex-ercise prophecy for the edification of the church.  - P3

But sometimes the presence ofGod is with us more subtly, as in the book of Esther. God sometimes remainsbehind the scenes, providentally coordinating events to guide and protect thosewho call on His name. The book of Psalms teaches us that God can make usmore aware of His presence when we choose to pray. - P3

As we meditate on this month‘s readings, may we recognize the nearness of Godin the place where we are praying. Whether or not we see supernatural outpour-ings of grace, may we continue to trust that God is responding to our faith withmiracles big and small. - P3
